Is it a Scam? Now the red and green flags

“Is this a scam?” Every so often a friend messages me a link with the same question

It’s a fair question. The online money world is full of flashy promises, and plenty of people have been burned. I’ve been let down by things myself. So I’ve ended up with a little checklist I share with anyone who asks. Here it is.

Just to be clear: I’m not a financial adviser. This is how I personally sense-check things before I get involved.

The red flags

Big income promises

If the first thing you see is a screenshot of someone’s earnings, or a promise of what you could make, be careful. Nobody can honestly promise you results. Everyone’s situation, time and effort are different.

Countdown timers and “only 3 places left”

Pressure is a sales tactic. If you’re being rushed to decide before you’ve had time to think, that’s usually on purpose. A good opportunity will still be good next week.

No idea what’s actually inside

If you can’t work out what you’re actually getting (what the training covers, what you’ll be doing day to day), that’s a problem. Vague is rarely a good sign.

Pay before you see anything

Being asked for money before you’ve had any chance to look inside or understand how it works? I’d walk away, My one caveat to this is if they offer a 30 day money back guarantee, and it doesn’t cost that much to start. say less than $10

The green flags

Honest about effort

The good ones tell you plainly that it takes time and work. It’s less exciting, but it’s true.

Free to look inside

Being able to join and have a proper look before spending anything is a big tick in my book.

Clear steps

A clear place to start and a sensible order to do things in shows someone has actually thought about beginners.

How CBPC measured up for me

I went into CBPC with my skeptic’s hat firmly on. Here’s how it stacked up against my own checklist:

  • Free to join? Yes. Name and email, login arrives the same day.
  • Can you see what’s inside? Yes. A proper members area with a clear place to start.
  • Clear steps? Yes. I followed them and built my own funnel.
  • Effort involved? Yes, and I’d be lying if I said otherwise. You still have to do the work.

That doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. But it passed my own “would I send this to a friend?” test, which is the bar I use for anything I share.

I test many programs; I share the successful ones and do not name the failures since they cost me money monthly, demand upgrades that cost more, and still generate no earnings.

My one rule

If it sounds too easy, it isn’t. Anything worth doing takes time, and anyone telling you otherwise is probably selling something. If they are promising over night to be a millionaire, then RED FLAG!!!

What I tell my friends

In the end, I tell them this: go slowly, read everything, never feel pressured, and don’t spend money you can’t afford to lose on anything. And if something promises you the world by Friday, close the tab and walk away.

If you want to have a look at CBPC through your own skeptical eyes, it’s free to join and see what’s inside.
